What is a MLM Directory? And how can it benefit your network marketing business? My goal is to answer those two questions and educate you about how to get more traffic to your MLM website.
First and foremost, a MLM Directory is a website that lists different links and websites on it. Normally, they do this for a small fee ranging between $10 and $40. In exchange for your money, they agree to post a permanent one-way link to your website. Additionally, the directory provides a large list of links for its visitors.

Normally, the links are categorized by subject matter. It also is a for profit business, so it gets paid when they post links. If they agree to post your link, they normally keep it posted on their website forever.

In most network marketing directories you will find links for MLM Companies, individual distributors, affiliate products, distributor websites, blogs and much more. I've found that quality directories are more strict about what types of links they will allow in their directory. Other directories agree to post anyone's link, simply because they are looking to make more money.

Why should you post your link in a MLM directory? First of all, part of Search Engine Optimization includes link exchanges. The search engines rank your website based upon the quality of links that are inbound links to your website. The websites should have a high page ranking, plenty of website traffic and should have a similar theme. If you have a MLM website, it's better to have a link from a similar website than it is to have one from a non-relevant website. Does that make sense to you?

Another advantage of listing your website in directories is to gain more website visitors. That was the original purpose anyway.

Listing your network marketing website in different directories should not be your only marketing strategy. You should also use pay-per-click advertising, article marketing, video marketing, social media, link exchanges, keyword selection and other methods too. When combined with these strategies, you will see your website gradually move its way up in the search results.

In conclusion, you can significantly improve your website's search engine optimization by submitting your website to different MLM Directories. The key to success is to find a good directory with a proven track record. Additionally, you want your link on a page that is accessible from the home page and doesn't have lots of links on the page.
